Allen Iverson settles his divorce, gives his estranged wife $3 million

allen-iversonFormer NBA star Allen Iverson has reached a 3 million dollar financial agreement with his estranged wife Tawanna Iverson in their bitter divorce battle, TMZ reported.

Iverson and Tawanna – who married way back in 2001 – informed a judge last week they had reached a financial settlement outside of court in their ongoing divorce case … just days before the two were set to go to trial.

Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ … as part of the deal, the NBA legend agreed to pay Tawanna $3 million, paid out as a large lump sum.

Reportedly, Iverson also agreed to fork over various assets and a percentage of his future Reebok endorsement deal checks. He’ll pay up child support payments for the duo’s five kids.

The settlement comes after a brutal year-long fight between the former lovers – which included allegations of infidelity, hiding money, and petitions for restraining orders.

During the course of his 15-year career, Iverson has been an 11-time All-Star, four-time scoring champion, and two-time All-Star Game MVP.

Iverson took his team all the way to the NBA Finals in 2001 but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in five games. Despite never winning a championship, Iverson was rated the fifth greatest NBA shooting guard of all time by ESPN in 2008.

Iverson played in 914 NBA games (901 started), and holds career average of 26.7 points per game, and 6.2 assists per game, with 41.1 minutes per game.

Four times in his career he averaged more than 30 points per game in a regular season – all with Philadelphia 76ers.
