Former NBA player, and ex-NY Knicks head coach Derek Fisher reportedly is interested in playing basketball professionally again.
The 41-year old Fisher has recently posted a video where he’s seen honing his basketball skills.
Later, ESPN reported citing sources that Fisher has indeed been “exploring options and expressing interest in playing again.”
“It is unclear what those options are, but a source said Fisher’s looking into opportunities to play in the NBA or in the Chinese professional league,” said ESPN.
Fisher retired from the NBA after a 18-year playing career. He won 5 NBA titles with the LA Lakers. Fisher played in 1287 NBA games, starting in 731 of them.
He played for LA Lakers (13 seasons), as well as for Golden State Warriors, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks. Fisher holds career averages of 8.3 ppg and 3.0 apg in 25.4 mpg.
