Dwight Davis & Eldridge Recasner elected to NBRPA 2014 board of directors

dwight davis - eldridge recasnerThe NBRPA has announced election winners for the Association’s open 2014 Board of Directors seats: Dwight Davis and Eldridge Recasner.

Davis and Recasner will formally join the NBRPA Board of Directors during NBA All-Star 2014 in New Orleans.

“We are pleased to announce the results of our 2014 Board of Directors election, which were certified by the Weltman & Bernfield Certified Public Accounting Firm and conducted amongst NBRPA Members this past September and October,” said George Tinsley, Chairman of the NBRPA’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

“The NBRPA has built a tremendous amount of positive momentum in the past year and we’re eager to continue moving our Association forward with the addition of our new board members, Dwight Davis and Eldridge Recasner.”

Arnie D. Fielkow, President & CEO for the NBRPA, agreed with Tinsley’s positive outlook.

“We are very excited for Dwight Davis and Eldridge Recasner to join the NBRPA Board of Directors in 2014,” Fielkow said.

“Before the election, both Dwight and Eldridge were leaders for the NBRPA – Dwight has organized multiple high-level community events for the NBRPA, and Eldridge has served as our youth clinic coordinator. As board members, we expect them to make an even greater positive impact on our membership and the communities we serve.”

Davis played for 5 seasons in the NBA, three with Cleveland Cavaliers and two with Golden State Warriors. He played in total of 340 NBA games, averaging 8.6 ppg in 23.6 mpg.

Recasner played for Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Houston Rockets, LA Clippers and Denver Nuggets. He played in total of 296 NBA games (47 started), averaging 5.9 ppg in 17.3 mpg.
