On Saturday, Thomas is in Chicago to participate in a panel discussion on ways fathers, uncles brothers and grandfathers to increase their presences in the lives of their children.

Since leaving the NBA, Thomas has written a book, “Fatherhood: Rising to the Ultimate Challenge.”
