Former NBA player and the head coach of the University of Connecticut men’s basketball team Kevin Ollie is reportedly getting a divorce from his wife.
Ollie and his wife, Stephanie are reportedly divorcing after 16 years of marriage, the Hartford Courant reported.
Stephanie Ollie filed for divorce in November saying in her two-page filing that the marriage had “broken down irretrievably and there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.”
Ollie and his wife are seeking joint custody of their two teenage children and an equitable division of their property. Stephanie Ollie also is asking for child and spousal support.
Ollie, a former NBA player himself led the Huskies to a surprise 2014 NCAA Tournament win, has dismissed rumors of him talking to NBA representatives for coaching possibility.
Journeyman Ollie played 13 seasons in the NBA, for Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, Sacramento Kings, New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle Supersonics, Cleveland Cavs, Philadelphia Sixers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder.
He played in 662 NBA games (100 started), averaging 3.8 ppg and 2.3 apg.Follow @exnbadotcom
