Scottie Pippen praises current Bulls players appearing in All-Star game

Scottie-PippenThe NBA All-Star Game 2013 is set to be hosted next month in Houston, and former 7-time NBA All-Star Scottie Pippen yesterday praised current Chicago Bulls players appearing in the upcoming game.

“Congrats to Joakim Noah on his first NBA All-Star appearance! He’s all heart and plays the game to win. Very deserving,” Pippen said on Twitter.

He then mentioned Luol Deng, who already participated in an NBA All Star game last season.

“Also excited to see Luol Deng make back-to back NBA All-Star appearances. Does so much for our Bulls team, and truly leads an example,” Pippen said.

Lastly, Pippen expressed regret over the fact that another Bulls player Carlos Boozer is not joining his teammates on the All-Star roster.

“No all star status for Carlos Boozer but he has been very steady this season. A double-double machine who has stepped his game up,” Pippen said.

Boozer participated in the 2007 and 2008 NBA All-Star games.

Pippen himself spent 12 of his 17 NBA seasons playing for the Bulls. He has spent the past two seasons as a team ambassador.

He got inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame in 2010 (as player). In his NBA career, Pippen played for the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Portland TrailBlazers.

Pippen played in a total of 1178 NBA games (1053 started), averaging 16.1 ppg, 6.4 rpg and 5.2 apg in 34.9 minutes per game.
