Fan invited Jason Kidd for birthday…he showed up 14 years later


When Jason Kidd was still playing basketball, a fan invited the future star player for his 10th birthday. Kidd didn’t make it, but the mistake got corrected 14 years later.

Daniel Marks, the mentioned fan, who is now a basketball database manager for the Bucks got a surprising visit from Kidd, for Marks’ 24th birthday.

Marks’ mom celebrated the occasion with a cake that read: “Daniel after 14 years J Kidd can celebrate your birthday with you.”

Kidd played 19 years in the NBA, and participated in 10 NBA All-Star games. He appeared in 1391 games, starting in 1350 of them. Kidd holds career averages of 12.6 ppg, 5 rpg and 6.3 apg in 36 minutes on the court.

In his NBA career, Jason Kidd scored more than 17,500 points, dished out over 12,000 assists and grabbed over 8,700 rebounds.
