Ex-NBA guard returns to China for $3.6M


jimmer-fredetteAnother former NBA player is reportedly going back to China, after not signign with any NBA team for the upcoming NBA season.

Jimmer Fredette, a former guard for the Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, New Orlean Pelicans and the NY Knicks, agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Shanghai Sharks worth $1.8 million annually.

According to pro basketball reporter David Pick, “Shanghai’s deal with Jimmer Fredette is $3.6M through 2019, NBA out clause included.”

In China last year, Fredette averaged 37.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest. He scored 73 points on Feb. 19.

Fredette’s NBA career includes 235 regular season games (7 started), 13.4 minutes per game, 6 points per game.
