Magic Johnson says Jordan would beat Lebron one-on-one

jordan-vs-lebronMichael Jordan has been known not only as one of the greatest winners in NBA history, but also as one of the best, if not the best, one-on-one player.

Another NBA great, legendary LA Lakers player Magic Johnson yesterday expressed his opinion on Jordan playing against Lebron James one on one.

He went as far as saying Lebron James wouldn’t stand a chance against Jordan.

Magic, although, did not specify whether he meant Jordan being in his prime playing Lebron, or today.

“If MJ and Lebron James played 1 on 1 10 times, MJ would win all 10. MJ is the ultimate 1 on 1 player,” Johnson tweeted.

Jordan played in total 1072 NBA games (1039 started), averaging 30.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg in 38.3 minutes per contest.

He was a 14-time NBA All-Star, and 6-times the NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls.

Jordan led the NBA in scoring in 10 seasons (NBA record) and tied Wilt Chamberlain’s record of seven consecutive scoring titles.

He was also a fixture on the NBA All-Defensive First Team, making the roster nine times (NBA record shared with Gary Payton).

Jordan also holds the top career regular season and playoff scoring averages of 30.1 and 33.4 points per game. Many of Jordan’s contemporaries label Jordan as the greatest basketball player of all time.

As for Lebron James, according to NBA’s official website, James recently became the first player in NBA history to shoot at least 60 percent from the field and score at least 30 points in 6 straight games.
