Magic Johnson talks business, LA Lakers & Isiah Thomas – VIDEO

magic-johnsonNBA legend, Earvin “Magic”, sat down on the couch on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” talkshow this week, where he discussed a variety of topics — including his friendship with Isiah Thomas, his ownership stake in the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kobe Bryant, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Specifically, Magic talks about his smooth transition from playing sports to the business world.

He currently has business interests in Starbucks franchises, Burger King franchises, and 24-Hour Fitness health clubs.

He talks about his criticism of the currently Lakers team, his workout regimen, and how he patched up his friendship with retired great, Isiah Thomas.

Johnson’s career achievements include three NBA MVP Awards, nine NBA Finals appearances, twelve All-Star games, and ten All-NBA First and Second Team nominations.

He led the league in regular-season assists four times, and is the NBA’s all-time leader in average assists per game, at 11.2.

He played in 906 NBA games, holding career averages of 19.5 ppg, 11.2 apg and 7.2 rpg in 36.7 minutes per game.

Johnson was a member of the “Dream Team”, the U.S. basketball team that won the Olympic gold medal in 1992. He also is a 5-time NBA Champion.

Johnson was honored as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996, and enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002. He was rated the greatest NBA point guard of all time by ESPN in 2007.
