Matt Harpring shares his opinion on Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors

matt-harpring-broadcastFormer NBA player Matt Harpring, who is currently doing commentary for Utah Jazz, has shared some thoughts regarding Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors teams.

In particular, Harpring believes the Warriors will finish strong this NBA season, if the team’s players can stay away from injuries.

“If GS stays healthy for the season, I expect a top 4 finish in the West from them,” Harpring said on his Twitter.

As for the Jazz, where Harpring played for 7 of his 12 NBA seasons, former player said he enjoyed watching the team play in pre-season games.

“Jazz looked better than I thought they would…,” he tweeted. “They were ready to play. Youth movement is now happening!”

Harpring signed a free agent contract with the Utah Jazz in August 2002. He played the best basketball of his career, averaging 17.6 points per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the floor and 41.3 percent on three-pointers.

In 2009, after suffering various injuries and a post-surgery infection in his ankle, Harpring announced that he would probably not be able to continue playing in the NBA.

In his NBA career, Harpring played in 665 games (348 started), averaging 11.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 26.4 minutes per game.
