Scottie Pippen to hold basketball camp for children

scottie-pippenLegendary Chicago Bulls forward Scottie Pippen will be holding a basketball camp – the “Scottie Pippen Skills Camp”, for children.

The 3-day camp will be held on June 10-13, for boys ages 8-15 and girls ages 10-14. The camp will be divided into three sessions each day, and an included lunch.

The three day camp cost ranges from $395 for full day sessions and $210 for half day sessions. All campers wanting to attend the full week and all the camp sessions can purchase a full week all day package for $525.

In addition to top notch instruction from Pippen and his staff of professional coaches, all campers will receive a Scottie Pippen Nike Shirt.

At the Scottie Pippen Skills Camp players will be divided by age, and pushed to become a better all-around player.

Fundamental skills, as well as advanced offensive attack moves will be thoroughly covered.

There will also be individual and team competitions to allow the players to put what they just learned into live, game situations.

During the camp there will be question and answer sessions with Scottie Pippen so the players can find out what it takes to get to the NBA, how hard he works and what some of his favorite basketball moments are.

Pippen won six NBA titles with the Bulls. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010 and now serves as special adviser to the Bulls’ president and CEO.

In 1996, he was named one of the NBA’s 50 greatest players. In his NBA career, Pippen played for the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Portland TrailBlazers.

Pippen played in a total of 1178 NBA games (1053 started), averaging 16.1 ppg, 6.4 rpg and 5.2 apg in 34.9 minutes per game.
