Shaq: Steph Curry is playing like he’s got something to prove

Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry has a lot of fans, among which are former NBA players as well. Among them is NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.

“To me, he’s Allen Iverson with a long-range jump shot,” O’Neal said of Curry, adding that Iverson was the last little guy to be like that.

“Allen Iverson was doing it from 3-point range and in. He’d cross you up, go to the hole, get bumped,” said O’Neal. “He was a very physical player.”

Speaking of Curry, O’Neal said he is “definitely a fan”, adding that Curry is playing like still got something left to prove.

“A lot of people were upset with the Warriors winning the championship, but these guys are clearly the best,” said O’Neal, adding that Curry is the best player in the league right now.

A dominant force in the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal was selected to 15 all-star Games, won four NBA titles (three with Los Angeles Lakers, one with Miami Heat). He is considered to be among the best centers ever to play in the NBA. O’Neal played in 1207 NBA games (1197 started), averaging 23.7 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 2.3 bpg in 34.7 minutes of action.
