Cleveland Cavs’ star LeBron James has reached another milestone, by passing NY Knicks legend Patrick Ewing on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
On April 2 in a game against the Miami Heat, James scored his 24,816-th point, moving on to the 20th spot on the all-time scoring list, as Ewing became 21st.
The 30-year old James has passed several prominent players this season, including Robert Parrish, Charles Barkley, Allen Iverson and former teammate Ray Allen. Next on the list is Jerry West with 25,192 points.
James became the youngest to score 24,000 points on Jan. 16. He entered the April 2 game having scored at least 10 points in 636 straight games.
Back in February 2015, James set two more milestones in the NBA.
James officially passed Pippen for the most career assists by an NBA forward on Feb. 25, in a win against the Detroit Pistons. James had over 6,000 assists, passing Pippen.
James himself said that reaching this particular milestone means more to him than passing Allen Iverson on the all-time scoring list. After passing Iverson, James went on to pass his former teammate Ray Allen, and then Patrick Ewing.
