baron-davis-dunkBaron Davis left enough of highlights for NBA fans to remember. Despite sometimes struggling with extra weight, Davis was as quick as any other guard in the NBA. Davis twice led the league in steals per game (2.4 spg in 2003-04, 2.1 spg in 2006-07), and once in three point field goals attempted (582 in 2003-04).

Allen Iverson once said that Davis was one of his toughest defensive assignments.

In 2007 Davis, playing for the Golden State Warriors, led the Warriors to their first playoff appearance since 1994.

A two-time NBA All-Star, Davis spent his 13 seasons in the NBA playing for Charlotte Hornets, New Orleans Hornets Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers, Cleveland Cavs and NY Knicks. He appeared in total 835 NBA games (started in 692), averaging 16.1 ppg, 7.2 apg and 3.8 rpg in 34.2 mpg.

In 2001 Davis set an NBA record for hitting the longest shot ever recorded in an NBA game, an 89-foot shot (27 m) against the Milwaukee Bucks. Davis also played for the US national team in the 2002 FIBA World Championship.
