Chris Webber is considered by many to be among the top 10 best power forwards ever to play in the NBA.
Fans in Sacramento still remember the 6’10 forward helping the team in the playoffs, where they were close to getting into the NBA finals.
Webber played for Golden State Warriors, Washington Bullets (Wizards), Sacramento Kings, Philadelphia 76sers and Detroit Pistons during his NBA career.
A 5-time all-star, Webber led the NBA in rebounds per game in 1998-99 with a 13.0 rpg average. He also averaged career-high 27.1 ppg for the Kings during the 2000-01 season. Webber played a total of 831 NBA games (827 started), averaging 20.7 ppg, 9.8 rpg and 1.4 bpg in 37.1 mpg.
Since retiring in 2008, Webber has worked in broadcasting for Turner Sports. He also did color commentary and was an occasional panelist on TNT’s Inside the NBA and NBATV.
