NBA All-Star game 1990 – VIDEO

nba-all-star-game-1990Here’s a full recording of the 1990 NBA All-Star game, which was held in Miami.

The East starters were: Michael Jordan, Isiah Thomas, Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird and Charles Barkley. The bench consisted of Robert Parrish, Kevin McHale, Joe Dumars, Dominique Wilkins, Reggie Miller, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman.

The West went with Hakeem Olajuwon, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, John Stockton and AC Green. David Robinson, Fat Lever, Tom Chambers, Rolando Blackman, Clyde Drexler and Chris Mullin were on the bench for the West.

Coaches: East: Chuck Daly, West: Pat Riley. This was the first of four consecutive All-Star Games in which the coaches of the previous year’s NBA Finals were the head coaches of the All-Star Game.

– Karl Malone didn’t participate in the game due to injury.
– Tom Chambers came off West’s bench to score 21 points (8-12 shooting).
– Olajuwon struggled the whole game, even got a few blocks from Ewing
– Jordan and Barkley led the East with 17 points each.

Note: The recording is of very good quality, but overdubbed with Russian commentary – which was pathetic so say the least. This was probably one of the most inappropriate NBA play-by-play commentaries ever (those who know Russian, will understand). Nonetheless, enjoy the classic all-star game!
