NBA All-Star Game 2001 – VIDEO

nba-all-star-2001On Feb. 11, 2011, Washington hosted the 2001 NBA All-Star game, packed with both young stars, such as Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, and veterans, such as David Robinson and Karl Malone.

This game was the 50th edition of the North American National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Game and was played during the 2000–01 NBA season.

Some players were voted to play in the game, but did not play in the game because of injuries.

Grant Hill was substituted by Latrell Sprewell, Alonzo Mourning was substituted by Dikembe Mutombo, Antonio Davis took the spot for injured Theo Ratliff and Vlade Divac stepped in for Shaquille O’Neal.

Speaking of Dikembe Mutombo – the man came off the bench to grab 22 rebounds and block 3 shots – and yet did not get the MVP honors! Jason Kidd hit a half-court three at the buzzer, yet wasn’t the most spectacular player on the court either!
