Rare-angle pic of Jordan’s freethrow dunk at 1988 Slamdunk Contest

Michael Jordan won a lot of awards during his playing days in the NBA. Two of those awards were the 1987 and 1988 NBA SlamDunk Contest titles.

Jordan defeated “The Human Highlight Film” Dominique Wilkins in 1988, with his iconic freethrow dunk.

ProBasketballTalk posted a rare (probably scanned) photo of another angle of Jordan’s freethrow dunk, and it looks fantastic, despite low quality. Take a closer look below:

Jordan was also part of the original “Dream Team” that won gold at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.

His on-court success and commercial endorsements have made him one of the most recognizable and prosperous athletes in the United States. He is primary owner of the Charlotte Bobcats.
