Shaquille O’Neal: Larger than Life (1993) – VIDEO

shaq-orlandoIn 1992 NBA Draft, Orlando Magic got lucky. Real lucky. They won the lottery for the first draft pick, and selected Shaquille O’Neal from LSU. That was an arrival of a new caliber superstar.

“Larger than Life” film tells the story of Shaq, how he was brought up (skipping the part of him and his biological father), how he first started playing basketball, and further how he played in college and then in the NBA.

This video program also features another side of Shaq – such as his interests in Rap music, movies, and especially him joking around with teammates, friends and at press conferences.

The video was made in 1993, and only features O’Neal until he was with the Orlando Magic (before he went to LA Lakers). So if you like young Shaq (the program features cool footage of O’Neal in high school), take a look.

O’Neal played in 1207 NBA games (1197 started), averaging 23.7 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 2.3 bpg in 34.7 minutes of action.

He was a 15-time NBA All-Star, and won 4 NBA championships (three with Los Angeles Lakers, one with Miami Heat).
